    I think that Lykke Li song is about the best thing about those films. Teenage angst with fangs 🙂

    I really really like that 28 days later!! Its one of the best scoring I’ve ever heard

    That song from 28 Days Later fits the emotion and heart of that film so much, and that song is played in many other films, and I just sigh. Its should only be used once.

    For some reason, I like the version of “In the House” from 28 Weeks Later more. It has a fuller tone, and just feels a lot heavier.

    I kind of liked the usage of it in Kick-Ass, too.

    One song that I get particularly addicted to is the Robert Rodriguez Gridhouse theme.

    The 28 Days Later song broke my heart, it did. Lovely list.

    Just realised that the Japanese song is from Miyazaki’s Tales from Earthsea. Beautiful tune and gorgeous vocal. Still haven’t seen it. Looking forward to adding it to my Ghibli collection.
    By the way, Laputa Castle in the Sky for tonight!!

    Excellent List, for me your choice of Donnie Darko is the one that resonates most poignantly with myself. Excellent and interesting list!

    @Novroz I really like it too 🙂

    @CMrok93 I was surprised to hear it in Kick Ass recently. I really liked the scene in which it was played, but it definitely wasn’t anywhere near as effective as its use in 28.

    @Kevin Very addictive theme song – Perhaps even more than some of the ones that I listed!

    @Simon/Ripley I remember the first time I listened to it, I thought it was incredibly heartbreaking. It’s one of those songs of which you don’t tire.

    @Ronan Hope you liked Castle in the Sky!

    @Heather I love that S.Darko song too. I was going to pick one from the Donnie Darko soundtrack, but I think that would need a list all to itself – Too many beautiful songs on that soundtrack to pick just one.
